BALANCE YOUR MIND & BODY

“There is a life-force within you, seek that life, search the secret jewel in the mountain of your body.”

Yoga to balance the mind, body and soul. Find some inner calm in a chaotic world by flowing through a grounding practice that brings you back to yourself. A space that is playful, joyful, and restorative.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A YOGA CLASS WITH EMILY

My aim is to help you reach a state of calm and balance in the body and mind- only then can we truly flourish. I believe we are all deeply creative, and through this creativity we can squeeze the juicy joy out of life. No step is too small, or yoga class too basic.

In my classes I will guide you through yoga poses while using your imagination to open up breath, body and mind. I use breath-work and meditation to balance your nervous system, helping to regulate your stress levels and optimise performance. A regular yoga practice can improve overall health and wellbeing, from body strength to sleep quality (to name just a few!)

My classes are great for beginners and experienced yogis alike, practicing the art of listening to your body as you move and flow. Each week will have a different theme to shape the practice: from nature’s changing seasons, to the wisdom of poets like Rumi.

FAQ’s

  • Whether you’re a beginner or have more experience, this class is great for all levels. This is a welcoming space open to all genders, ethnicities, ages, religions, body shapes or sexual orientations.

  • Perfect! My classes will be great for you as I give adjustments and specific alignment instructions. I love teaching total beginners as we can build a really strong foundation for your practice. Just drop me an email to yogawithemilytucker@gmail.com before the class to let me know, and come a few minutes early so we can chat.

  • Clothes that don’t restrict your movement, perhaps a layer you can take off as you warm up, or put on for the final relaxation. No need for the latest yoga gear, just come in what makes you feel comfortable.

  • If you have a regular yoga practice already and know how to modify, just let me know at the start of the class. If you’re new to yoga or unsure, drop me an email and we can chat about it, or contact your GP for advice.

  • Not at all! All bodies are built differently, and we adjust postures accordingly. You might have long legs and shorter arms, a stronger right arm or a stiff left hip. Yoga will help increase strength and flexibility over time, but bending your leg over your head is not the aim of the game.

  • Standard advice from the NHS is to continue with current levels of exercise, so if you haven’t practiced yoga before, perhaps best to wait. If you practice already you’re welcome to come, let me know beforehand so I can modify postures for you. However you may want to seek out a pregnancy-specific class as they are more tailored for your needs- I recommend Life by Margot.

  • Select the class you’d like to book, the date/time, and enter the same email you used to buy the pack at the checkout for that class.
